Project Overview

  • Fast-track exploratory phase over winter break
  • Extensive M/E/P upgrades to existing concrete structure
  • Renovations took place in the heart of an occupied urban campus

With an ever-growing student body and increasing demand for collaborative learning environments, Wentworth renovated the library on the second floor and mezzanine of Beatty Hall situated at the center of its campus. Built in the mid-1960s, Wentworth’s main goal was to re-purpose the traditional space to introduce 760 additional seats and integrate advanced technology and additional study spaces into the library and its mezzanine.

オンライン カジノ 必勝 法 worked with Perkins+Will in a collaborative design-to-budget approach to determine the most cost-effective use of the space. Noise levels due to the two-way waffle slab concrete structure were addressed, as well as reduction of library stacks to make space for community areas and new windows for enhanced natural light. The scope of work, which took place on a fast-track four month schedule, included selective demolition, hazmat abatement and M/E/P upgrades, requiring detailed logistics as work occurred on the floors directly above the campus cafeteria and gym.
